Skinwalker Ranch
Skinwalker Ranch is a property in Utah where UAP and paranormal activity have been alleged (the Skinwalker Ranch phenomenon).
Colm Kelleher and George Knapp's book Hunt for the Skinwalker (2005) dates the first reports to 1994 and the purchase of the ranch by NIDS to 1996. Robert Bigelow owned it while his company's subsidiary, BAASS, held the Defense Intelligence Agency's AAWSAP contract. The Pentagon's AARO says in its 2024 historical report that AAWSAP "also investigated an alleged hotspot of UAP and paranormal activity at a property in Utah." In 2016 Bigelow sold the ranch to a company later revealed to be Brandon Fugal's. Fugal owns it.
The ranch's place in AAWSAP is disputed. Around 2018 Jeremy Corbell called it "the hub, the center, the beginning and the reason for that 22 million dollars." Knapp qualified that, saying the money "funded a much broader discussion." The solicitation and contract do not mention the ranch, and Skinwalkers at the Pentagon, by James Lacatski, Kelleher and Knapp, treats it as one of three investigative tracks.
Fugal says his team gave Senate committee staff a confidential briefing on the ranch on 19 April 2018, with Sean Kirkpatrick, later AARO's first director, present. In a reply relayed by the journalist Steven Greenstreet, Kirkpatrick said he attended a briefing but did not recall the ranch being discussed, and thought it took place in 2017.
