About this project
A map of other people's work.
This is a synthesis project, not a source. Nearly everything indexed here was reported, filed, testified, recorded or dug out of an archive by someone else — and it is their work, not mine, that makes any of it worth reading.
What this is
The public UAP record is enormous and almost entirely unstructured. It lives in declassified documents, congressional hearings, court filings and FOIA releases; in decades of books and long-form journalism; and, increasingly, in hundreds of hours of interviews and podcasts published by independent researchers. All of it is already out there. Very little of it is connected to the rest of it.
The gap I felt was synthesis — a way to see that this name appears in that program, which was described in this hearing, which contradicts that document. So this is an index and a graph over public material: entities, the relationships between them, and a pointer back to where each piece came from. That is the entire ambition. It is a table of contents for a subject that never had one.
What this is not
- Not original research. I have interviewed no witnesses, filed no FOIA requests and broken no stories. I read the people who did.
- Not a truth claim. An entity or a connection appearing here means someone on the public record described it — not that it is real. Contested claims are in here precisely because they are contested, and the graph does not adjudicate between them. Follow the sources and judge for yourself.
- Not a replacement for the sources. If something here interests you, the right move is to go read, watch or listen to the original in full. The summary is a signpost; the work is elsewhere.
- Not commercial. Nothing here is sold, gated or advertised against.
Credit where it belongs
There is a large community of journalists, FOIA researchers, archivists, authors, podcasters and YouTube channels who have spent years — in many cases unpaid, and often at some professional cost — assembling the record this project merely rearranges. The interviews, the document hunts, the patient cross-checking of testimony: that is the hard part, and other people did it.
Where a page draws on someone's work, the intent is to say so and link back to it, in a form that sends readers to the original rather than substituting for it. If your work is represented here inaccurately, credited wrongly, or quoted more heavily than you are comfortable with, email me and I will fix it or take it down. That offer is not conditional on you being nice about it.
A work in progress
This is one of several side projects and it is visibly unfinished. Coverage is uneven, some entries are stubs, dates are missing or approximate, and there are certainly errors — including ones I have not thought to look for. The Quality page publishes the current gaps rather than hiding them, because a map that pretends to be complete is worse than one that admits where it stops.
