Glenn Gaffney
Glenn Gaffney served as Director of the Directorate of Science and Technology (DS&T) at the CIA, from about 2009 to 2015. He is known in intelligence and UAP research circles as a major "gatekeeper" controlling access to the most restricted special access programs.
Kona Blue Incident (~2008-2010)
During the AAWSAP program, Lockheed Martin attempted to transfer exotic crash retrieval materials — allegedly hull and bulkhead fragments from the 1953 Kingman, Arizona retrieval — to Bigelow Aerospace under a Department of Homeland Security prospective Special Access Program (SAP) codenamed "Kona Blue."
Gaffney intercepted and blocked the transfer. According to Dr. Eric Davis, Gaffney was shocked to learn that Lockheed still possessed the crash materials, as they were supposed to have been surrendered back to the government in 1989. Gaffney categorically refused to allow an "uninitiated" private contractor to receive them.
Post-CIA
After retiring from the CIA, Gaffney served on the board of the Pentagon's All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO). Sources note this raises questions about the office's impartiality regarding UAP investigations.
