Employment: Donna Shipton — Commander, AFLCMC (2023–2026)
Donna D. Shipton commanded the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center at Wright Patterson AFB as its fifth and first female commander, serving concurrently as Air Force PEO for Combat Readiness and Integrating PEO for Mission Systems.
Two dates apply and are both sourced. Her official biography lists the assignment as beginning December 2023; the assumption-of-command ceremony took place on 17 January 2024 at the National Museum of the United States Air Force. A Senate floor statement of 15 November 2023 refers to her as AFLCMC deputy commander, consistent with a date-of-rank or deputy-then-commander sequence. December 2023 is used here as the start date, following the biography.
Her official biography, current as of July 2026, describes her as former commander, fixing the end of this tenure at July 2026. Sources published after that date describing her as the sitting commander are out of date. Dates are month-precision, rendered using the vault's first-of-month convention.
