Fascist UFO Files

The Fascist UFO Files are a corpus of ~18 purported 1930s-era Italian documents — handwritten notes and telegrams — that surfaced anonymously beginning in early 1996, when a source self-identified only as "Mr. X" mailed them to Italian media and to ufologist Roberto Pinotti [S1]. They are the sole evidentiary basis for the 1933 Magenta Crash (Cabinet RS/33) and Cabinet RS/33 (Gabinetto RS/33) claims, promoted by Pinotti and Alfredo Lissoni of the Centro Ufologico Nazionale (CUN) [S1]. Skeptics note the files were mostly ignored or discarded on first receipt and that no full forensic report has ever been released for independent verification [S2].
