Russell Targ
Russell Targ is a laser physicist and parapsychologist who, in the early 1970s, co-founded the remote viewing research program at the Stanford Research Institute (SRI) alongside Hal Puthoff. Working with the CIA, DIA, and military intelligence agencies, Targ and Puthoff developed methodologies for investigating psychic abilities as potential intelligence-gathering tools. The SRI remote viewing program successfully operated for over two decades, becoming one of the most significant classified psychic research initiatives of the Cold War era.
