1989 Reverse-Engineering Program Termination (per Eric Davis)

Per Dr. Eric W. Davis, a UAP reverse engineering program was terminated in 1989 for lack of progress. Davis stated such efforts are periodically resurrected but repeatedly fail "because compartmentalization is killer" - severe access restrictions starve engineers of the cross-disciplinary information needed to make progress. This lack of engineering progress under extreme compartmentalization tracks with what Wilson reportedly told Davis (see WilsonDavis notes) about a special-access program he himself was denied access to.

Sources

  1. Eric Davis interview, quoted in 'Loose Threads' (PDF): 'I do know that the program was terminated in 1989 for a lack of progress in reverse engineering... they'll resurrect it every maybe so many years... they just don't succeed because compartmentalization is killer.'
