Bob Lazar Goes Public
On November 10, 1989, Bob Lazar appeared on-camera under his own name in an interview with investigative journalist George Knapp on KLAS-TV (Las Vegas). This followed an earlier anonymous segment in May 1989 in which he was interviewed in silhouette as "Dennis."
In the named interview, Lazar publicly described his alleged work as a physicist and reverse-engineer at the S4 facility near Area 51, including the existence of nine recovered non-human craft, an anti-matter reactor, and gravity-wave propulsion systems. The broadcast is widely considered the origin of the modern Area 51 mythology and launched Lazar into public prominence.
