Michele Sindona
Michele Sindona was the Sicilian tax lawyer turned financier at the center of the Italian offshore-banking scandals of the 1970s. He controlled Banca Privata Finanziaria from 1960 via Fasco AG, founded Moneyrex in 1964, advised the Vatican's Institute for the Works of Religion, and collapsed spectacularly with Franklin National Bank (1974); he died of poisoned coffee in prison in 1986 [S1]. His documented ties to Hambros Bank (a 24.5% BPF stake) are archivally established [S2], while his claimed CIA relationships were rejected by a US jury that convicted him of perjury over them — no documented Sindona–Angleton link exists [S3]. See Offshore Finance Network (UAP Lore Audit).
