British Security Coordination
British Security Coordination (BSC) was the covert organization through which Britain ran intelligence, propaganda, and covert-action operations across the Western Hemisphere during the Second World War, headed by William Stephenson and working closely with the American OSS. After the war, Stephenson set up the British-American-Canadian Corporation — a commercial vehicle staffed heavily by BSC and OSS alumni — which was folded into the World Commerce Corporation in 1947 [S1]. The continuity of personnel between BSC and WCC is central to the latter's reputation as an intelligence-veteran front company [S2].
