Frank Ryan
Frank Ryan was an OSS veteran who served as a director and later president of the World Commerce Corporation. In 1952 a State Department memorandum records him, as WCC's president, negotiating the purchase of a blocked Czechoslovak steel mill for resale to a German firm — a transaction entangled with the Oatis hostage case and scrutinized by Congress and the press [S1]. He appears as a director-then-president on the WCC roster reconstructed from the company's Panama registration papers [S2].
