Robert M. Wood
Robert M. Wood is a retired McDonnell Douglas physicist who, with his son Ryan S. Wood, built MajesticDocuments.com and developed its document-grading methodology [S1].
He is worth reading directly rather than in caricature. His 2001 MUFON paper sets out physical dating of ink, pencil and paper, typewriter and printer dating, and language-period analysis as methodology, and concedes "there were flaws" in the Cooper-sourced documents — arguing that flaws are consistent with authenticity, since "hoaxers generally try to make sure they are perfect" [S1]. He also produced the substantive rebuttal to the Helvetica-anachronism argument against SOM1-01 Special Operations Manual, consulting the USGPO's 1959 type-specimen book [S1].
