Forbidden Science

Forbidden Science is Jacques Vallee's multi-volume publication of his own contemporaneous private journals. For this vault it is the most valuable single source on Dr. Kit Green, because its entries are dated at the time rather than recalled decades later.

Three passages carry particular weight. A February 1974 entry (Vol. II) places Green at the CIA Office of Scientific Intelligence and notes that "a small part of his duties involved keeping an eye on reports of paranormal claims" [S1]. A 26 September 1981 entry (Vol. III) records Green discussing the CashLandrum case and fearing "two of the witnesses may die from the experience" [S1]. And two entries settle the ATP Advanced Theoretical Working Group question: on 24 July 1985 (Vol. III, p. 199) "Kit (Green) had been invited but couldn't attend," while on 18 May 1986 (p. 243) he "refused to take part in the meetings as long as no budget had been allocated to give it an official status" [S2]. The endnote roster for the May 1985 BDM Braddock, Dunn, McDonald meeting omits Green entirely [S2].

Caveat on access. The archive.org scans of Vols. II-III are lending-restricted and returned 403 across repeated attempts, so the quotations above are page-cited reproductions carried by secondary researchers rather than pages retrieved directly. Obtaining the volumes would upgrade several claims in this vault from strong to settled.
