Pandolfi 1989 Damage Control - Oechsler Meetings
Following aerospace engineer Bob Oechsler's recorded phone call with Admiral Inman (in which Inman named Everett Hineman as a contact for UFO information) and the subsequent August 10, 1989 meeting between Oechsler and Hineman at CIA Langley, Ronald Pandolfi — a CIA DS&T officer — personally contacted both Hineman and Admiral Inman to interrogate them about what exactly they had disclosed to Oechsler regarding UFO programs.
This outreach is interpreted by researchers as damage control: Pandolfi was investigating the extent of the information leak and reasserting control over UAP-related communications. The date is approximate, placed after Hineman's formal retirement on September 1, 1989.
