Employment: Jacques Vallee — Research Associate in Astronomy (1962-1963)

Under Gerard de Vaucouleurs at the University of Texas at Austin; the post that brought Vallee to the United States. He worked on what became NASA's first detailed map of Mars, and still described himself as a consultant to the Mars Map Project in 1965. No NASA report or paper for the Mars work was located in ADS across 1961-1968 — a retrieval failure, not evidence of absence.
