Andrew Basiago
Andrew D. Basiago claims that as a child he took part in a secret program that teleported people to Mars. He and William Stillings say the departure point was a "jump room" in El Segundo, California. They also say a young Barack Obama took part [S1]. Supporters place the room at 999 N. Sepulveda Blvd, a former Hughes Aircraft building [S2].
The story matters to this graph because Tim Taylor went and photographed that building. Taylor showed the photos to Grant Cameron, who took the visit as a sign Taylor was checking out Basiago's story [S3]. No record corroborates the jump room itself.
