Edward Stettinius Jr.
Edward R. Stettinius Jr. served as U.S. Secretary of State under Franklin Roosevelt and Harry Truman (1944–45) and led the U.S. delegation at the founding of the United Nations. He was a director of the World Commerce Corporation; historian Vanessa Ogle names him, alongside William Stephenson, among the figures who "formed" the company, which she characterizes as "a CIA front, of sorts" [S1]. His name also appears on the WCC board roster reconstructed from the company's Panama registration papers [S2].
