ONR File 24-185 — Electro-Gravity Devices
ONR File #24-185 is a 1952 Office of Naval Research "Special Inquiry" evaluating the electro-gravity device of Thomas Townsend Brown. The investigation began May 3, 1952, and the report — authored by ONR Pasadena's Willoughby M. Cady and dated September 15, 1952 — concluded the observed thrust derived from ordinary electric-wind (corona discharge) effects at roughly 1.4% efficiency, not a gravitational anomaly. The document makes no mention of Vannevar Bush or Robert Sarbacher. The version available is a fan-site transcription; a NARA/DTIC-hosted scan remains to be located. [S1]
