The Boys from Topside Published
In 1969 Saucerian Books published The Boys from Topside, a 96-page collection of articles by Wilbert Smith, seven years after his death [S1]. Smith had written them for Topside, the bulletin of the Ottawa New Sciences Club he founded after Project Magnet. In them he described extraterrestrials he believed he was in telepathic contact with [S2]. A skeptical annotator of the Smith papers says Smith would wait in his orchard with a tape recorder to record the "Space Brothers" [S3]; that source uses the claim to discredit him.
This is the second mind thread in Smith's story, separate from the "mental phenomena" line in his 1950 memo, which reports what US officials were said to be studying. See Psychic Ability.
