Augmentation Research Center
The Augmentation Research Center (ARC) was Douglas Engelbart's group at Stanford Research Institute. Jacques Vallee joined as a senior research engineer in 1971 [S2]. ARC's own internal journal records papers by "Vallee, Jacques F." at the centre in August and December 1972 [S8]. ARC is a distinct unit from SRI's remote viewing program, with which Vallee is often conflated.
