Institute for the Future
The Institute for the Future is a Menlo Park research organisation. Jacques Vallee was a senior research fellow here from 1972 to 1976, succeeding Paul Baran as principal investigator on a large computer-networking project [S2]. The PLANET and FORUM conferencing systems built under that work were spun out as InfoMedia Corporation [S2].
