Floyd Odlum

Floyd B. Odlum was the financier behind the Atlas Corporation. After retiring from Atlas he bought Summers Gyroscope and renamed it Guidance Technology, Inc. [S1]. His papers at the Eisenhower Presidential Library include a "Brown & GTI" folder series for 1967–70 on Thomas Townsend Brown's electrokinetic apparatus and plasma loudspeaker [S1]. Paul Schatzkin writes that the 1967 deal placing Brown at GTI "included negotiations with the same 'Nassau' interests" (the Nassau Group) [S2]. Nothing in the finding aid names them.
