John L. Schuessler
John L. Schuessler is an American ufologist associated with MUFON. He authored a 2002 web compilation, "Statements about Flying Saucers and Extraterrestrial Life Made by Prof. Hermann Oberth," which is repeatedly cited (including in Wikipedia footnotes) as the source for several Oberth quotes [S1]. It is the apparent ur-source of the poorly corroborated claim that Hermann Oberth headed a secret 1951–1954 West German/European UFO study — a claim that traces only to this self-published compilation and no primary government document [S2]. Schuessler is noted here as a provenance node for that disputed attribution.
